Financial Assistance is available for Picton Castle’s World Voyage (2021-2022)
On November 3, 2020, the Nova Scotia Seamanship Education Society, in partnership with S/V Picton Castle, is excited to announce officially that scholarship and bursary support is now available for eligible trainees participating in Picton Castle’s upcoming World Voyage.
Scholarships may be awarded to individuals who meet the following criteria: 
- An intent to enter into or continue a maritime career, especially in industries related to traditional seafaring and seamanship.
- A successful application to participate in Picton Castle‘s sail training program. The World Voyage application form can be found here.
- Between ages 18-35.
- Financial Need. The scholarship is designed to make this training accessible to people who would most benefit from it, and who would not otherwise have the means to participate.
- Priority will be given to residents of Nova Scotia, then Atlantic Canada, then Canada, then internationally – all are welcome to apply.
